Welcome to our website "DON'T DREAM – DO IT". We are the kind of people who like to talk about our dreams over travelling.

One day – we were sitting in a street café in Brunnen and talking about our dreams, as we had done so many times before. A passer-by came across and let the remark drop: «DON'T DREAM – DO IT». We had another nice coming together at the Grimsel Pass, where we met two cyclists – Monika and Robert (Your website) – got into conversation. They cycled once around the world – Wow. And here too came the statement «DON'T DREAM – DO IT».

We looked at each other and decided: We'll doing realise our trip to Iceland now or stop talking about it. Now the time has come: we are ready to make this dream come true.

Now everything is suddenly much easier. First of all, the framework conditions had to be clarified. Our goal is to spend the summer of 2022 in Iceland.

In the coming weeks and months we will assemble our motorbikes – two Suzuki DR BIGs – and our equipment. We now need to put together our clothing, camping gear, cooking utensils, navigation, and any other accessories.

You can now follow this exciting time on our website. Of course, we are always grateful for good tips and advice.


Every journey comes to an end. So does this one. We return home with many memories and impressions. And the most important thing: healthy and fit and ready for more. As the saying goes, after the trip is before the trip.

At this point we would also like to thank everyone who has supported us in any way. Be it with material, tips and tricks (visit the section "Sponsors / Support"). We would also like to thank all those we met on our journey. Maybe we will meet again.

Here we show you our equipment. Starting with the motorbike - camping accessories - navigation etc. with which we will travel to Iceland.

Motorbikes

– Suzuki DR BIG 750 S (Year 1989)
– Suzuki DR BIG 800 S (Year 1990)
– Almost 11'000 kilometres travelled
– Oil consumption 3 litres
– Tyre consumption: 1 front / 2 rear tyres
With these vintage cars through Germany, Denmark, the Faroe Islands and then to Iceland. There, once around the island and right across. Storm, rain, wind and rain did not harm our BIGs. Gravel, fords, mud and sand. The BIGs ploughed through like a steam hammer. From there back to Denmark, Germany back to Switzerland.


Enduristan

A big thanks to the good material. It is absolutely waterproof, strong and easy to pack.

Iceland Calendar 2023

A calendar in A3 landscape format (420 x 297 mm) will be produced from this Iceland trip with the most beautiful landscape pictures. If you like our journey and pictures, you can support us by ordering a calendar 2023 for a fee of CHF 35 (incl. packaging and postage for Switzerland). Shipping abroad on request.
After receipt of your order you will receive a confirmation and the corresponding account details for the bank transfer. If you order several calendars, postage will only be charged once.

Finally, the time has come. After almost a year of preparation, our two-month journey is about to begin. We are looking forward to Christmas like little children. Now a long-awaited wish is being realised. With our own motorbike - and this with a DR BIG. With a little delay, we meet at Schluchsee, from where we start our journey together. Here is a small selection of pictures taken on the way to Hirtshals (Denmark). There we will board the ferry to the Faroe Islands.
Oh yes - we almost forgot. We took a little diversions to the hallowed halls of Stefan Hessler. The shock absorber on Markus' BIG had to be replaced quickly. Here is a video of the workshop – Island für Anfänger. Have fun.
